    Join UT Gardens in Jackson, Tenn., for Fall in the Gardens, an annual plant sale and lecture series, Oct. 2-3 at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center. It is free to attend and open to the public.


    Thursday, Oct. 2, is the lecture series day, which includes guided garden tours, informational talks, wagon tours of the research center, and a fall plant sale featuring hundreds of varieties of locally grown plants as well as pumpkins and pansies. Guest lecturers will share gardening and horticulture tips with attendees.  


    Food trucks and local vendors will also be onsite as well as local Master Gardener volunteers to help attendees with all their plant questions. 

    Thursday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Friday, Oct. 3, the plant sale continues; hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    UT Gardens Knoxville is thrilled to celebrate the arrival of fall with a Fabulous Fall Plant Sale filled with beautiful, functional plants for gardeners to enhance their green spaces. Visit the garden, located at 2518 Jacob Drive, on Saturday, October 4, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. to shop from an expertly curated selection of perennial flowers, houseplants, ornamental trees and shrubs of all shapes and sizes. From the nectar filled blossoms of native perennial flowers to the bold tropical foliage of fashionable house plants, this sale truly has something for everyone.

    A preview sale will be held on Friday, October 3 from 4-7pm. UT Gardens’ members, active UT Gardens’ volunteers, and UT employees are welcome to attend. Non-members who wish to attend will be able to purchase membership onsite during the sale. Garden members also receive a 10% discount on their plant purchases (at either the preview sale on Friday or the public sale on Saturday). All proceeds benefit UT Gardens, Knoxville.

    An inventory list of plants that will be available at the sale will be published nearer to the event date.
