Mission

The mission of the Tennessee Extension Master Gardener (TEMG) Program is to improve the lives of Tennesseans through innovative, research-based horticulture information delivered through a network of certified local volunteers.

How we do it

SCMG provides continuing education to its members to help its skilled volunteers to work directly with the public. Master Gardeners actively engage with Sumner County communities through various programs, including demonstration gardens, educational booths at community events, speaker series, and assisting the public with information about plant selection, disease and pest management, and sustainable gardening practices.

How do I become a Master Gardener?
